The roles API now returns each role's resources: the resource types the role can be limited to in a role binding. An empty list means the role applies to the whole scope.

Role bindings are now checked more strictly when you create them or change their roles:

  • A role can only be granted on a scope of its type: project roles on projects, organization roles on organizations.
  • A role can only be limited to resource types listed in its resources.

Existing role bindings keep working unchanged.
